We all want radiant, fair and healthy skin to look and feel good about ourselves. Many women spend a lot to buy skin care products or even undergo medical procedures to remove skin impurities. But who says the quest for beauty has to be expensive? Looking beautiful not need to be hurtful on your pocket because effective and safe solutions can be found even in your home.
Problem #1: Puffy Eyes with Dark Circles
Home Solution: Cucumber Slices, Tea Bag, Frozen Spoon or Ice Cubes
Cucumber slices have long been used and known to reduce puffiness and refresh the appearance of tired eyes. Use a couple of cold slices on your eyes to tighten and tone the area beneath the eyes.
Frozen spoon can also help relieve puffiness, providing a quick fix on your eyes. Place the spoon in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes, take it out and hold it on your eye area until it is warm again.
Tea bag or herbal tea are also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties that reduce swelling of the eyes and puffiness. To use, simply moisten the bags with cold water, allow them to chill and dry in the fridge for a few minutes, and then place them over your eyes for 4-6 minutes.
From the coolness it brings, Ice Cubes help provide quick aid in making your eyes appear fresh and less puffy. Smoothly rub it around the eye area for 3 minutes or until the ice melts.
Problem #2: Pimples
Home Solutions: Aspirin, Apple Cider Vinegar or Honey
Aspirin, by its nature is anti-inflammatory. Crush aspirin with a small amount of water (just enough to make a thick paste) and apply on the affected area using cotton bud stick. Make sure you clean your face before applying. Let the solution stay for about an house, then use wet tissue to remove it.
Apple Cider Vinegar has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, lactic acids found in it also helps reduce redness and treat acne. Dab a bit onto affected area and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
Honey is known to be superb for healing burns and small cuts; it’s antibacterial, it helps with wound healing, and it even keeps your skin hydrated. Apply honey over a pimple and let it rest overnight, rinse your face well in the morning.
Problem #3: Dry Skin
Home Solutions: Coconut
Coconut acts as an effective moisturizer on all types of skin, including dry ones. Apply a generous amount of coconut oil all over the body. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and presto – you have moisturized skin. It’s also a superb remedy for damaged hair. Compared to tons of over the counter coconut products out there, this serves better since it’s raw and natural.
Although beauty problems are a serious business for most people, it still doesn’t need to be expensive. It just takes a good look around your kitchen and you’re good to go.
